Creedmoor Music Festival planned Saturday

The 27th annual Creedmoor Music Festival will be held Saturday, Sept.15, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Main Street.

Complimentary shuttle service to and from the festival site will be available every 15 minutes starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 7 p.m. Departure/drop-off points are at the South Granville High School parking lot and intersection of Main Street and Lake Road.

The festival’s guest emcee will be Julie Wilson, weekend morning anchor for ABC 11.

A wide variety of vendors will be on hand throughout the day offering their wares and festival foods. Beer sales will be from noon until 5 p.m.

Live entertainment will take place on two stages.

Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. from W. Lyon Street to Park Avenue.

The Creedmoor Music Festival is traditionally held rain or shine. Festival organizers will not consider cancellation of this year’s event until later in the week when there is less uncertainty with the forecasted storm track for Hurricane Florence. For updates, go online to cityofcreedmoor.org.
