John Park “J.P.” Williams, Jr., 95, of Norlina, died on Sunday, May 26, at Maria Parham Health in Henderson. The Rev. James Durham will conduct services at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, at Blaylock Funeral Home in Warrenton with burial to follow in Warren Dale Cemetery in Norlina. 

Mr. Williams was born at the Williams home place in Norlina to the late John Park Williams, Sr., and Essie Mae Weaver Williams. J.P. was a proud U.S. Army veteran having served in World War II and was a member of the VFW and Norlina Baptist Church. 

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Lee Williams; two sisters, Juel Williams Duke and Mae Jack Williams Piland; and a nephew, David Lee Williams.  

He is survived by his sons, Bryant Bender Williams of Manson and Jack Park Williams of Norlina; his sister, Linda Ann Williams Edwards of Florida; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, four nieces and four nephews.
