Anne Taylor Hilliard, 87, of Macon, passed away Monday, June 10, surrounded by her two daughters and husband.

Mrs. Hilliard was born on June 21, 1931, in Morgantown, W.Va. Prior to her retirement, she spent her career in the medical technology field and as a teacher at Elon College. She was preceded in death by her parents, JB and Carolyn Taylor; sisters, Ruth Taylor and Patsy Sawyer; and grandson, Thomas Henry Padgett.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Henry F. Hilliard; children, Bryan (Brenda) Hilliard, Tate (Angela Little) Hilliard, Wendy (Glenn Coley) Hilliard, and Tracy (Kip) Padgett; her grandchildren, Nick Gallagher, Nicole (Oscar Store) Gallagher, Emma Potzner and Cole Padgett; and great-grandchild, Jackson Kelly. She is also survived by a brother, Bedford Taylor.  

In addition, Mrs. Hilliard is survived by stepchildren, Dorothy (Richard) Rohrer, Burnice (Teresa) Hilliard, H.F. Hilliard, Jr.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Blaylock Funeral Home from 5-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 13. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Community Home Care and Hospice.
