Xavier Lamont Hendricks, 35, of Warrenton, formerly of Chase City, Va., entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 15, in Warrenton. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at New St. Douglas Baptist Church, in Boydton, Va., with the Rev. Chester W. Terry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Hendricks was born in Durham to Ollie Weldon and Kimberly Hendricks. He attended Warren County High School in Warrenton and New St. Douglas Baptist Church. Mr. Hendricks was formerly employed as a forklift operator for Jones Apparel in South Hill, Va., and enjoyed basketball, fishing and cars with rims.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Lillian Hendricks.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Tanisha Evyette Hawkins Hendricks of Chase City, Va.; three sons, Nasir La’Chavis Reid and Xavier Lamont Hendricks, Jr., both of Raleigh, and JayBran Trashun Degree of Chase City, Va.; two daughters, Aziyah Lamontè Reid of Raleigh and Jekaylah Nacole Degree of Chase City, Va.; his parents, Ollie Weldon and Kimberly Hendricks of Norlina; two brothers, Demetrius L. Hargrove of Warrenton and Jakil Tyrell Alexander of Norlina; four sisters, Priscilla Ann Hargrove of Warrenton, Janay Shakeem Alexander and Olivia Nicole Alexander, both of Soul City, and Shawandria Janise Hendricks of Norlina; his maternal grandparents, Louise and Walter Crews; two sisters-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, June 21, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, Va.
