There was a flyer that was posted advertising the celebration of the Warrenton Posse’s 30th anniversary on May 4, 2019. This flyer was not approved by the members of our organization and should have never been posted. The flyer did not reflect the standards of the Warrenton Posse.

Our organization has tried to maintain a positive, respectable image because that’s what the name of the Warrenton Posse means to us, and when you hear this name, that’s what you should have come to your mind.

For those that don’t know about this organization, let me tell you just a few of the things we have done. Every year on the second weekend in August, we host our annual trail ride. People come from all over, bringing horses, camping and riding the trail that has been mapped out by the Warrenton Posse. I can remember having as many as 500 riders at one of our rides.

We also do a kiddie ride at the Ridgeway Cantaloupe Festival, and we have done kiddie rides at various churches in the past. For fundraisers, we have done ticket sales, plate sales, and we have had parties.

That all being said, the most important thing is in all we do as the Warrenton Posse, we have set standards for our organization. The flyer that was posted did not meet our standards.

The Warrenton Posse will be celebrating our 30th anniversary at a later date to be announced.

We would like to express our thanks to those who have supported us in the past. Our goal is to continue to maintain a positive, respectable image, so when you see or hear the name of the Warrenton Posse, you will not have regrets for supporting this organization.
